Chronic Illness

Chronic illness doesn’t just affect your body—it impacts your entire life. Everything feels harder: trying to keep up with daily tasks, managing energy levels, and making plans when you can’t predict how you’ll feel. It can make scheduling feel impossible because things can change so quickly, and it can be draining to have to explain that to people over and over.
Friendships, too, can get tricky. It’s hard to keep up with the social expectations when you're just trying to survive day-to-day. People might not understand why you have to cancel or why you can’t always be there for them. It can feel like a lot of pressure, and sometimes it’s even hard to know how to navigate it without feeling guilty.
You’re not alone in how you're feeling, though. It’s okay to acknowledge that this is difficult and frustrating. It’s also okay to lean on people who get it—whether that's a friend, a support group, or even just a space where you don’t have to explain yourself.
